This year's Rachel Allen Memorial Fellowship Recipient!

We want to congratulate and welcome Nance Mc Manus as the annual fellowship recipient, to New Grounds! The fellow receives a month long membership and a workshop of their choice. It is a wonderful way to meet artists and introduce them to non-toxic printmaking.

Nance is a dedicated pastel artist who enjoys the rich colors and immediacy of the process. At New Grounds, she is wanting to learn more about the monotype process using Akua water-based inks.

Rachel Allen Memorial Fellowship

This year's Rachel Allen Memorial Fellowship recipient is TK Ryn from Madrid, New Mexico. The runner-up is Ileen Weiss. Congratulations to the both of you! This annual fellowship, awarded by New Grounds, consists of a free class and a three month membership.

The Rachel Allen Printmaking Scholarship

Open to all women living in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas, who can demonstrate participation in the art community. Please do not call- send a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope or e-mail for complete scholarship guidelines. Guidelines can also be downloaded from the New Grounds website at www.newgroundsprintshop.com.

Scholarship Applications must be postmarked by April 25, 2010.

The Rachel Allen Scholarship will be awarded to one person every year. It consists of one printmaking class and three consecutive months of membership at New Grounds (this amounts to more than $ 1000 in value).
